Technical Analysis Model Portfolios

Members of the Kua'aina Partners investment club board at TMF have developed three model portfolios to experimentally test the usefulness of technical analysis as a tool to improve buying and selling points after a decision to buy or sell has already been made.

These portfolios include two (the TAP and the MAP) upon which technical analysis will be applied each week, and two control portfolios (the DCAP and the BHP). The links below explain the purpose and background of the experiment, the history and peformance of the three portfolios, and related commentary on the experiment's progress.

As of 12/31/99, the technical analysis experiment has been concluded and the model portfolios have been closed. Results and conclusions of the experiment are now available.
